Westfalia seats

Post by radman »

Hi

I have recently noticed that one of the drop down arm rests has started to work it self loose from the back support of the passenger seat, that is to say it waggles from side to side! I was wondering if someone else has had this problem and if anyone knows the remedy? I guess the seat cover needs to be removed to get to the frame etc, if so does anyone knows how to go about this without damaging the seat cover?

Fingers crossed
David

HI Jason,
Thank's for the information. Could you describe how I gain access to the split pin? Is it on the arm side or the seat back side? I cannot see anything externally do I have to remove seating material etc.

Regards David :?

You dont have to remove the fabric.
The pin is between the seat back and the arm.
On Mine the pin is at about 45 degrees to horizontal sloping up from the rear.

There was a thread wit pictures a month or two back.
