solex to pierberg??? on an 84

solex to pierberg??? on an 84

ive found a crack in my automatic choke housing on my solex 34 PICT 4 carb,

ive changed the manifold, and noticed i need a new accelerator cable to match, and also have the pierberg airfilter piece that goes on top off the carb,

WILL.... the solex square air system filter do??


and where does this water pipe in the picture attatch too??

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO GET OR DO???


any help or hints/ tips will be very much appreciated :)

why in gods name do you want to fit a pierburg? :?

the solex is kapputt and i was told the pierburg runs better than the solex???

and i cant find another solex 34 PICT 4 or 5 anywhere :(

on the setup i had the pipe came from a hose atached to the coolant tank, have you thought about putting twin carbs on? it will make your van a lot more responsive and powerfull, much nicer to drive. i am sure laurie was doing a set up using twin solex, with all bits needed to fit them. well worth a try.

i havent even got one decent solex, never mind 2 :cry:
