carburettor pierburg

hi i just got a t25 auto sleeper 1.9 water cooled and it has a flat spot when pulling away u have to dip clutch and give it a bit more gas or it will stool.
it has the pierburg carb not sure if 2e3/2e4 but it has high mileage and manual says replace it but it is fine when moving.
it is the same if hot or cold?

New accellerator pump diaphragm needed. Allows a little more fuel through the carb when first pushing on accellerator due to the air moving first before the fuel gets a chance to catch up. Yours will probably have a small hole in it and not supplying enough fuel in time.
The accelletator pump is adjustable though (there is a nut on a threaded bar) and can be set to allow a little more fuel through at that time. Might be worth a check first just to make sure someone hasn't 'tinkered' with it! :D

Check the choke 'pull down unit' is working properly , the one on our carburettor was not working and gave us similar symptoms
