air filter attachments

my van has had a K&N filter ducktaped to the section of origanal airfilter done by the last owner
went through a box of stuff and found the original filter and have decided to refit it

problem is what goes where

i can fix it up fine, attcah it fine but what are these bits for

the top pic im guess are for vacumm hoses, but what hoses attach to them????

and on the bottom pic with the tube holes, what attaches to these and where are they ment to go???

have been through my hyanes manual but does not say much about it.

any advice/info will be much appricated

What engine have you got?
I could guess at the connections, but your airbox is different to mine.

its a 1.9 watercooled in a 1985

there is a spare vaccum hose coming of the carb which currently goes nowhere, would this be anything to do with it?

look at the pic with the arrows
of the two pipes next to each other connect the one on the right to the single one on the right.

join the other one to the pipe on the rear lower one coming off the carb

the lower larger pipe is for the exhaust pre heat pipe, you shouldnt need this.
