cab door seal question

Post by el sketcho »

I've got a 1991 van, there is a rubber seal that goes down the a pillar and closes the gap between the a pillar and the leading edge of the cab door. It looks like it sits in a groove on the inside of the pillar. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? I've looked on Just Kampers but to no avail, also having looked at the trim how do you take it off? Is it a case of door off being the only way?

These are the much lauded 'anti-whistle strips' try VW commercial or one of the van breakers. These were fitted to the posher (later ?) Velle GLs and multivan/ ****star imports .... most UK vans being 'umble panel vans at heart don't have such 'luxurys'.

Cheers for that Ian. Do I need to take the door off to replace it? I tried pulling it out of the seat but it wouldn't move.

Right, it arrived today and it's not the bit.
Here's a picture of the seal

The seal is inside that gap.

Anyone know what this seal is called and where I could get some new ones?
