to change the lower wishbone steering knuckle ball joint without taking the hub off, as stated in the haynes manual. Did the top one today but didnt really have a look at lowers.
I am cureently changing all things rubber underneath the vehicle due to German equiv of the MOT??

The bottom ball joint is pressed into the bottom of the steering knuckle, so its all gotta come off. And you'll need a really, really big press to get it out cos its very, very tight in there

Sorry to be a party pooper but I doubt this method will work - when I did mine I had the get the oxy-acetylene on it and then use a 20 ton press to get the blighter's out/in and it would have bent the knuckle had I not had it supported properly

It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!
