Check the fused link in the black box at the front of the engine bay - if that's gone then there won't be any power to the glowplugs.... you HAVE tested there's power to the glowplugs, haven't you, sparks?

could be water in the diesel or compresion problem then.
try using one of them black n decker heat guns, feed hot air down the air intake careful not to get the air filter on fire tho???? or remove air filter and the use hot air and try to start at same time.

Give it a sniff of ether.

How long has it been parked?

Have you bled the injectors?

So, you had it running, you parked it up and now it won't start?

Give us the real chain of events.

well the fulll story of events! when we went to see it they guy was very keen to start it before we got anywhere near it! he had done the head work on it and then not much else! it's last mot had run out 18 months ago. and had apparently stood since then! the starter knackered within miuntes of handing overt he cash. so we bumped it a few times. i drove it 100 miles before i ran out of fuel! seemed to drive well bit of smoke etc to be expected so i believe. i towed it round the block a few times to start it so i could get it off the road and on to the drive where it has sat for the last 6 weeks or so. finally got round to fixingthe starter last weekend, turns over well and at a good speed. changed the glowplugs on thurs (only one of the four was intact let alone working) all plugs fine now! tried again! it's trying to start but won't! i know there is fuel there cos ther's smoke and diesel smells. i have also fired a 2kw heater atthe air box while trying to start to no avail!! so the whole story so far! i don't think i can win the axel for buying a duff van!! especially as i bough it in jan!!! i have not blead the ijectors tho! worth a try??
