1.6td exhaust

Post by noss vanagon »

I need a new silencer for a 1.6 td does anybody know the best place to get one/places to steer clear of?

The silencer is fine but the clamp has rotted of the end and the short tail pipe has rotted at the other end.

Also not sure how the silencer mounts come to bits/fit, any tips that might reduce the cursing and swearing.

thanks

regards

steve

I've got a brand new genuine VW 1.6TD silencer for 60 quid if it's any good to you?

GSF:
£68.25 for a non genuine 1984-1989 silencer.
£84.20 for a non genuine 1989-1990 silencer.

£60 for a brand new genuine VW silencer plus £10.99 for 48 hour courier.

But if you can wait a couple of weeks you could save on the courier cost as my mate is coming up from Plymouth next weekend(14th)for a few days and he'll probably bring it down for you for a few beer tokens.

Your choice. :)
