Rolling Road near Bristol? (that knows VW WBXs)

Post by sonic23 »

I want to try and get the Syncro up on a rolling road as I don't believe it's operating to it's full potential. Does anyone know of a rolling road near Bristol that understands DJ Waterboxers?

cheers,
Rich

TSR at Bilgewater.

Has made an enormous difference to the DJ, which has all the same components as a mkII golf.

They can cope with 4 wheel drive, if necessary.

Ohh. That looks ideal Simon.
So do they do they make all the necessary adjustments then to get it spot on?

Thanks,
Rich

I think I was lucky and they were not busy 0900hrs!! Tom spent about 1 1/2 hours fiddling with the timing and the mixture, did several runs before that power run. I would ask next time for a full power mixture analysis, as I know how to adjust this on the AFM  . I will be going there once a year for a check up, and will not change any setting in between.

They are a VW specialist, mine was the first T3 they had had.

80 quid I think.

They said that with such a smooth power delivery they could guarentee that everything was working as it should, which is reassuring.

The 112bhp as quoted by VW is on a naked engine without even a water pump, so pleased with my 105.

Cheers Simon - all booked in with TSR for the end of the month.
It'll be interesting to see what it turns up!
