I notice from sawmill jim`s post that i may have replaced my (re-welded) anchorage points above the front wheel arches of my 1986 autohomes kamper FACING THE WRONG WAY !

can anyone look at theirs and tell me which way the pointy bit should face -- forward or back ?

It should face towards the wheel (thats not forward or back in my opinion) so that the plate is pressing against the wheel arch hence spreading the load over a larger surface area...
