......I thought that I'd bought a Devon pop-top roof from E-bay. I've been to fetch it today; Hired a van for the job (mine wouldn't start

It turned out to be a leisuredrive pop-top, not a devon - the roof has some (bad) filler work on it where it has been cracked; the skylight needs replacing; the canvas is dirty & manky; the hinges are missing and it doesn't have any bed boards.
but we do have the metal frame that goes around the hole; the fibreglass thingy's that the bed board slide on & the plastic strips that go around the canvas where it is attached to the roof and the gas struts are all in very good condition.
I know what a devon roof looks like from the inside & how the bed slides out - but I can't work out how this leisuredrive one works cos there seems only to be one hole that I presume goes above the main 'living' area next to the sliding door.
has anyone got any pics of a leisuredrive pop-top so that I can see how it is fitted & how the bed works, cos at the moment it seems that the bed rests directly on the metal of the roof - I presume that some sort of support or base will have to be made out of wood or something.
Nigel wants to wait until we can get a devon roof & fit that cos he recons that there will be too much 'faffing' having to fabricate bits that we don't have with this one - I'd rather have a look at how big a job it is 1st...
oh, I nearly forgot the best bit - cos we were going to leave it as it wasn't what we thought it to be..........the guy let us have it for free cos he wanted the space in his unit & just wanted rid of it
