Bosch didn't fit TDI pumps with 20mm drive shaft (as oposed to 17mm) for a laugh.
I realise that the aaz pump needs mods, and wont perform as good but i have read that people have fitted them with success, and wanted to try
for myself. Are there any 20mm shaft pumps that can be made to fit?
cheers

One thing that people seem to gloss over when installing TDI's is that you end up with crap heaters!

Well thats odd, I cant say I noticed any diffrenece (Both my mates have T25s a 1.9auto and 2.1 auto) never heard em complain when they are in my Mtdi ???
The warm up time may perhaps take an exta mile.........?

Re: aaz diesel pump
A guy in the states wrekons a vw TDI will run all day at tick over speed (no load) without the water pump belt fitted.
He said providing the block/head has water in it, it will run all day.
They cant be run 'dry' but they can be run without a pump belt with no long term damage.
Spooky !

Re: aaz diesel pump
Of course, long term idling is not good for engines - and especially don't do this if the engine isn't run-in, else it never will
