Aftermarket Steering Wheel

Post by pockets »

Right having used the search facility to know avail can anybody help me?

I'm after a large (16"+) aftermarket steering wheel, I've tried everywhere but nowhere does anything that big unless its wood and I'd rather have leather or at least have something that doesn't look too naff and I'd rather not go with the 420mm caravelle wheel.

Failing that does anyone know how big the larger Porsche steering wheels were?

Cheers

360mm I think, BUT they are the best wheels I have fitted to any of my vans and 'feel' right. Easy fit too. 8)

Does any eighties Porsche wheel fit and could you see the dials ok PEET or did the wheel obstruct part of them?

Porsche wheels do obstruct them slightly but not too much, I had a 3 spoke from a 924, wasn't bad but on th enew van I have a grey 4 spoke from a 993 which is sweeeeeet and I won't be changing that one over! The last van had both styles and without power steering and the 4 spoke felt easier. New vans got power steering so no worries there!!

Are you still on the lookout for a large steering wheel?

Just found out volksbits sell a 405mm diameter sports wheel that might be suitable.
