I crushed one with a mole wrench and sort of mashed it out, twisting and pulling; watch out for the paintwork. A screwdriver between the jet and gasget helps too. They have one way plastic tabs behind them holding in so if you can't squease them from behind they'll get damaged in removal. I decided as it didn't work (cracked in my case) and new genuine was cheep I'd punish it for being crap.

I do have one word of advice and that is avoid buying the Just Kampers ones. Get genuine ones from VW instead.
I managed to fit one of the Just Kampers ones and was not impressed with the very poor fitting. The washer jet is loose and does not seal the interior from the outside world !!! Adjustment of the Just Kampers washer jet is also very difficult to get right.
I have now ordered a pair of genuine washer jets from the VW Classic Parts Center (in Wolfsburg).
And finally notice the poor fitting (to front panel) of the Just Kampers washer jet on the right. There was nearly 1/2 inch of movement (in and out) of the Just Kampers washer jet when it was attached to my campervan's front panel.
I think it's actually a design fault of the pattern part its self, eg. the tabs on the back of them are far too short (see one of the pics above).
The tabs on the genuine one are approx 5mm longer than the pattern part ones (I ordered 2 from Just Kampers and they were identically the same).
Just letting everyone know about some problems I have had with pattern parts (not only from Just Kampers, but from GSF Car Parts as well when it came to pushrod tube seals).
As more parts become obsolete, more counterfeit / sub-standard parts will show up.
We've already seen wheel bearings that last 5-6 months, cv boots that look 10 years old in a year, etc.
Be careful when buying replacement parts!
In the past I've seen dealer (not VW) selling poor quality parts too, so be very careful what it is you are buying.
Was reading just the other day that there are counterfeit GKN out now. Box looks exactly like GKN box, but boot is not exactly same.. and starts cracking in less then a year. Was a Chinese part in a German GKN box.. not sure if box was from same supplier as GKN uses or not.
I bought a top ball joint from GSF and the holes wouldn't even line up.
Luckily they refunded my money and I bought one from JK's which fitted perfectly.
Theres a considerable difference in them tabs no wonder they were a poor fit.... I will have to remember that.
The issue looks to be that someone has been harsh adjusting the spray and opened the hole too big. The water sprays everywhere no matter where its angled.
I'll get a VW one before i try again
Oh, and with the dodgy parts list can you add track rod ends that split in about 4 months
