When I say scotch blocks I meant 3M Scotch-lok wire splicers from maplins which I then wrapped in insulated tape for extra protection. Not as good as solder and insulation but there you go

Simon is right and solder insulated with heat shrink is the proper way to do it and I should have shown that on the diagram. It has been ammended to show that. Best to advise the proper way to do things

That was only applicable to late blade fuse vans where the wiring was installed but the relay ommitted

Needed to wire it in my early van whilst it only took me a minute to do kathyshacks later van

Nice one Horace...

BUT (sorry)

It's not IN the Wiki, its linked to the Wiki..

If we don't ensure this sort of vital stuff in not only in there but embedded on our server, then in a couple of years time, as eggs are eggs, half the stuff in Wiki will not be there, and be driving us all nuts with non-existsent links.....

Bob or myself happy to put your html up there, or you can, for posterity if you''re happy too - sure you'll agree it is too much work writing this stuff to let ntlworld or a changed account let it dissappear one day

NB. Have changed the title (but not Wiki link) to clarify which article is which (blade fuse wise) and your embedded link to the other article is broken, so needs changing to:-
http://www.keithandsylvia.co.uk/tech%20 ... wipers.htm, at least for the time being.

Also differentiated Main Page links for Early/Late vans..

Rgds

Horace, nicked your source code and made an attempt at getting it embedded up on Wiki - hope that's OK  Ditto embedded images

T'wasn't fun :!: bit more tidying of this whole subject needed, like adding the very late, straight relay job as No. 3
