Fuel Pump - 1.9 watercooled

Post by sussex_yellow »

Problem at the weekend what I thought would be down to dampness but which actually turned out to be a u/s fuel pump. Bought a new one from GSF today fitted it and quel surprise it started !

Problem: The inlet to the fuel pump is at a different angle to the one Ive taken off so consequently the pipe is hard up against another bit of the engine (you can see Im not technically minded) and it pinches the pipe so the engine isnt running smoothly. Probably because fuel isnt constant.

Are there any fixes or do I need to be thinking about taking the fuel pump back ?

Renew your fuel hoses to fit. It needs doing every now and then anyway
