Confused! Converting Aircooled to LPG Dangerous???

After getting muchly messed about by a local LPG conversion place, she finally went in for the deed yesterday...

they just rang tho and said they cant convert it as they hadn't realised it was an Aircooled and they said they can't be done..its dangerous!

what on earth are they talking about???

They're talking total sh!te!

www.gasure.co.uk have fitted LPG to dozens of aircoooled T25's....most of them 80-90 club memebers.

Go and get your van back and take it to someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Gasure have someone in Essex that does the LPG conversions.

I thought as much..i know that Steve does it all the time..was going to go to him only these people are 10 miles away and had availability a lot sooner...

am going tomorrow to pick it up as quite ill today and wanted to be armed with all the facts before they spout forth at me why it is so 'dangerous'.

am really annoyed..they've wasted my time and cost me trips in petrol after they messed up my last booking in august and it had to be re-booked for yesterday..grr...

its possible they dont know enough about the job to do Aircooled, they will spout something about LPgA not liking Aircooled conversions, which was the case.

so annoyed! they know what it is..the van has been at their garage 3 times now..the first time he had a good look at it for working out which tank to put in...

have lost the will..gotta go pick her up tomorrow and listen to their sob story...

hey pixie is that local river Auto Gas at littlehampton.
Took tbe 'BOB' there to get a quote and they looked confoosed.
Looks like a trip to gasure when i can get time off.
Steve open a south central location please please Lpg installer drought round here lol
and tons of VW owners gagging for the Gas

wish I'd have saved myself the bother now..they did say they could do the work and have worked on campers before...

Will either take her to Steve or to Elite in Essex which may be a bit nearer..

If you can wait until the clement weather returns book it into Steve's in Chester and have a day round Chester while he does it(cheap park and ride just around the corner) then tie it in with a camping trip in nearby Snowdonia? We did that albeit we only came from South Manchester at the time.

That way you will get more out of the long journey north?

would a mobile service run by steve Gasure be a possibility-- we could all give him some backing, if wanted, so long as he comes up to sctland to do mine ...........
