Stress Buster

Post by jpee »

Spent Saturday night on the bonny banks of Loch Lomond. Was so nice we managed to sit out till around 11pm enjoying a couple of glasses of the good stuff. There was a huge firework display happening on the opposite shore and we had the best seats in the house.

Sounds perfect.
Where are the good places to camp alomg there - it is the right place for us to want to overnight - coming up from near Manchester - but have only seen grizzly caravan parks along Loch Lomond.
Any local tips on secret hideaways, maybe on the roads from the loch to Gairlochhead?

There's a nice Camping and Caravanning club site at Luss, right on the banks of the Loch.

Ye not too many wild camp places around that area, gone all commercial since 'national park' status (which is completely against that ethos). Once you hit the road to Gareloch it is a wee bit more 'wild' haven't been in that area much. But i will have a word with others who have.

I camped at forestry site at Cashel on the opposite shore
