fridge not working on battery

have discovered my fridge is not working on the battery setting works ok on mains and gas any ideas have checked fuses in the zig unit all ok

If it not the fuse, relay or a wiring fault then it will mostly likely be the 12V element. Should read about 1.6 ohms.

you have checked it after a good run of at least 1 mayby 2 hours???? fridge should only work on 12v wit the engine running!

no fridge works from the battery.

they all work from the alternator.... and as jamessays it takes over two hours to feel anything happening.

gas gets it going very quickly

aah thanks i was under the impression it ran off the battery even when the engine was off so that means when parked up put on gas

Yes, and make sure the van is pretty much level. If it's on too much of a slope it won't get cold on gas either. We got complacent about this recently and paid the price . . . warm beer and chocolate! :cry:
