worn lock plate

Post by colinMSC »

boath of our vans do it ,especialy after hiting a pot hole,
does not open all the way but jumps back to the second catch.
can be cured [quite easy] rear lock plate is about £20 from vw.
ps the little plastic bit in the back of the new catch is for setting the catch in the right position if you dont remove it after fitting it will brake and bits will fall into the lock so remove it before slaming the door shut.
bu it may just need the cable/rod adjusting.
