Fitting a fiamma automatic box awning..

Post by kathyshack »

Does anyone have one of these fitted to their van?

I recently bought one which has brackets for a different typr of vehicle. It could be attached to THE hightop if needed, but I wanted to try and avoid drilling holes into this really. I had a look on the fiamma website and purchased some T3 brackets (£50).
Now they have arrived however, it appears they're for the F45i (website doesn't say this) and don't fit the fiamma automatic box one (too short). Wondered if anyone else has fitted one of these recently, and how they did it...
I was thinking that I could possibly bolt the the two brackets together and get round the problem that way. Once i'd drilled the fiamma brackets though i wouldn't be able to take them back if it wasn't strong enough.
What do you think? I've put some pictures below:-

Any advice welcome :-)

Do you mean cut the top off the fiamma awning brackets (ones that attach to the gutter mount, ie the new ones I bought) then rivet the silver ones to that?
Just want to be sure i do it right way round.
Cheers Mocki :-)
