Re - Painting using Roller

Post by nenenaiad »

Hi,

Have my 2.5 litres of Rustoleum and am about to do the job.

Bearing in mind it has to be thinned, and the roller trays don't hold that much, is it suggested that I say mix a litre or so with say 15% of white spirit and then top up the roller tray from this ?

Any thoughts about this or the practicalities of mixing in the proportions required would be most useful from those of you who have been down this road before.

Cheers

Dave

Have a read through this and check on wiki

https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18751

Mixing it I think comes down to preference and finish, more and thinner coates I think you will find, where as thicker will stick / cover faster but will not give you give as good a finish.

Again read through, prep it properly, tac cloth it, take your time and possibly have a practice first on an old panel.

Take photos so I/we can see how it goes.

Thanks Krisis.

Believe me, small trays are what you need and they go a long way. WIKI and thread above will tell you all you need to know.
