Temp guage/clock buggered?

Post by daveangel »

Hi all my temp guage isn't working but the light does. I've checked the plug and board and they look fine with no corrosion. The clock has stopped working too are these linked in some way?

Both fuel and Temp Gauges are fed from the Stabiliser. Clock has a separate feed. If the fuel gauge is OK then probably the sender circuit but Diags on my website, just hit the www button, might help.

my temp gauge stopped working and it turned out that the wires from the back sensor(there's two temp sensors near thermostat housing) had been bodged together with masking tape and the wires had corroded from the inside out and left a green powder where there used to be copper. Have a look at this and see if there's anything obvious
