Long Water Pipes - help/advice needed

Post by glenn77 »

Hi - 1984 watercooled T25 1.9 autobox.
Blew a hole in one of the long waterpipes running from the radiator to the engine so have decided to replace the pair - feed and return.
Whilst looking for the parts i noticed that there are 2 types - metal (like mine) and plastic.
Questions - will the plastic pipes fit on my van ??- (obviously more durable).
Any ideas of decent suppliers - JK are collection only !!!
What antifreeze will i need to refill the system? and how much ? (litres)

Thanks in anticipation :)

i think the plastic pipes are availble from vw but pricey, if i remember the total coolant is 15 ltrs, so 30 percent of antifreeze needed. good luck.

With all the rain were having this year do you need them? just driving down the road throws up that much water buying a bilge pump instead might be a better investment!
It is by will alone that I set my 'van' in motion!
