Caravelle interior lights

Post by Emma&Al »

I have only 3 lights in my interior as they had been stripped by the previous owner..I really want to get them all back in and working, but Im not sure whats supposed to go in the gaps? I have the wires poking out with black gaffer tape on the end at the moment.

I wondered if anyone had a picture of a Caravelle interior?

Id be really grateful,

Thanks
Emmz

Standard T3 intereour lights, you get 3 in a Caravelle. Just make sure the headlineing is tucked into the hole, then insert it switch end first - note the spring clip next to my fingers - it holds them in but is easy to break if removed without care. Red wire on one end, 2 brown wires on the other end.

Thanks ever so much for that :)
Thats exactly what I meant.

I have one larger light at the back of the van and one in the middle of the van on the ceiling. The rear one doesnt work at all and Ive only just discovered that the middle one works, 1 year down the line!

Found out that its controlled by the drivers side interior light switch, by my head?! Had no idea before. But all the side ones appear to have been taken out.

worth using LED replacement festoon bulbs (41mm standard) but be wary of cheap chinese imports - mine went faulty after 12 months. The latest SMD ones are best.
