What glue to stick on headlight glass?

Post by MrAE86 »

This morning my headlight glass fell off (i only just touched it honest!) so I'm wondering what glue or sealer is recommended to stick it back on?
Thx.

A good silcone based adhesive/sealant should do the trick.
Hold the glass in place with tape for a day while the sealant cures.

Such as one used to construct Aquariums or one used in the double glazing industry.

I find any of the clear silicone sealants have incredible adhesive properties.

I've remembered, you can pick up small tubes of Aquarium silicone at most tropical fish shops.

I used impact adhesive to bond the glass on mine & it's been in there for 3 years with no problems!

Sikaflex is also a good bonding silicone, available from most good building supplies/screfix etc. Just don't get it on anything you wnt to keep, It will stick anything to anything and doesn't peel off very easily.
