Awning Illuminations ?

Post by Fritz »

So you have the perfect set up ,van nice and level and a good patch to place the awning without to much mither.

So what do we all use to illuminate our awnings when the sun goes down ?

I have till recently used a rechargable twin tube lamp made by Draper, I got it for nowt so I can't complain but it has just gone buggered and won't hold a charge,,,,,,,the thing is it only lasted 4 hours at best after a full 18 hour charge...

My back up consists of a standard 21V single lamp usually taped to the centre roof pole and then jumped/plugged off the leisure battery, OR the Gaz lamp with lots of heat/mantles and cartrages to mess about with.

I've looked at other rechargable lamps from Towsure but they all don't last long and are still very expensive....

Regards,

Fritz,,,,,,,

A garage inspection lamp (40 watt I think) running off leisure battery and hanging from the centre of the awning. It keeps the moths out of my beer.
Peace and Love and .... ummmm all that.
