Late cooling system

Hi,

I'm currently in the middle of fitting a 2.1 DJ where my old 1.9DG used to be.

The carb and lpg are staying on but I've moved over to the late cooling system. Does anyone have a photo of a late engine bay showing the pipes so I'm sure they're all there. The Haynes only has the early system which aint much use.

Hi Matt,

just one thing to consider....are you using the 1.9 thermostat housing...if so, will NOT have the take off for the oil cooler. We have one 2.1 with a cooler which came with a thermostat housing, and 2 without the coolers as the engines were exchanges for 1.9s and therefore had no coolers on them.

If we ever find 2.1 thermostat housings, we can add the oil coolers, but have been advised that they are not really necessary in this country

Only mention it in case it is/is not showing on pictures etc.

Thanks for the info,

I've changed everything over to the late system, thermostat housing included. Fitted the new front to back main pipes, expansion tank etc.

As we're staying with gas I put the carb and manifold back on. The main difference is having the distribution pipe (which is mentioned in haynes but not shown) and the thermostat housig to plumb in.
