1.9 diesel

Post by davidah »

Hi

I am in the process of buying a 1984 T25. It is a 1.9 diesel, with an engine number starting DG - the V5 says it is a Caravelle 78PS

The wiki buyers guide seems to have this as a petrol.

Which is correct? There doesn't seem to be much information on this engine. Is it a good one? I am interested as I have paid the deposit, but not the full price yet.

Thanks

David

I suspect that the engine number on the V5 is not the engine in the van.

Or, its a 1.9 petrol... and not a diesel at all...

Make sure you know before you buy it - whats the engine code of the engine in the van (not the V5)..

Depending on what diesel its got (if it has one) then it could still be a good van. But dont part with any more cash before you know (IMHO).
