do you have a gutter trim to actually attach it to the van?? wen u do that it pegs down at each end of the van creating a rectangle sort of speak but the centre bit must attach to your van

Rear Entry

Post by stevenm »

Your awning looks more like a 'rear entry' type i.e. it is supposed to be used with the rear tailgate not the sliding door

We have one similar that came with our van. I used to secure the valence on to the J bars on my roofrack

You could porobably rig up something yourself using clamps and a pole to use it with the sliding door

If the awning is anything like mine it should have a pole with suckers that slips into a pocket on the skirt and then sticks to the side of your roof. The suckers on mine were useless, but JK do some really good suction clamps ( part no J12392) I bought a kit with 3 in for about £30.
