would like to know if a mk2 golf gti engine will fit straight into my 1984 t25 or if there are any mods which will need done,or can anyone give me any suggestions as to a good engine swap for it.

it's possible
i've not done it
i've seen it done
read the wiki bit
you'll need to find a diesel t25 bellhousing
you'll need to make a complete engine brace
also the exhaust
you might need to raise the height of the engine hatch
