How can i adjust my front camber angle??

Post by Bendyknees »

Hi guys an gals. Ive got the van up on stands to give it a good going over before i go on me hols in a few weeks. Amongst the many things on my list is to get the front camber sorted, as its out on the passenger side and is trashing my tire. i have too much negative camber, have checked all my joints and there is no movement however the bushes do look like they have seen better days. have searched on here and in my books and i cant seem to find owt. Any1 got the know how?
Carlsberg dont do campers.......... but if they did they'd build the T25

Hi Bendyknees

CAMBER is adjusted by Eccentric washers located either end of a spindle bolt on the upper wishbone at the rear mounting point (just behind top of shock mount). Slacken spindle nut and turn spindle with spanner so you can turn either way to work out + or - outcome (you want +) IF you can adjust (not siezed) hopefully this will by trial and error give you the Camber you need. When adjusted you will need to roll the van back and forth to re-settle geometry and check (visual) or with equiptment you may have. But if it stops your tyre from being trashed well done. But to suddenly cause this (or has it always been an issue since owning) may be bushes or some other problem. Also bush casings are spot welded too stop them turning in the wishbone. Remember when tightening, tight is tight, too tight is broke....... upper wishbone torque 55 lb ft (75 Nm) OR with this info take to garage and they wil have geometry knowledge and measuring tools to get spot on, or spot other problem you may have.

Not kown what vehicle type so check for degree of camber you need to run with
