Dashboard reflector

Post by ASC »

Disaster!

During the process of stripping down the dashboard to try to get to the bottom of a phut temperature gauge I had a little mishap.

I removed the right hand dashboard illuminater module that sits atop the clocks only to watch in horror as the small black plastic reflector thing sprang from its former home and disappeared down the back of the dashboard.

Doe anybody know a. what's the proper name for the little reflector and b. how I can source another one?

Many thanks.

I know the piece you mean... Took mine apart and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to put it back in properly so I left it out!
Didn't make any difference as far as I can tell and as it's black I couldn't see it reflecting much light either so mine is running without at mo!
Someone will pop up soon and tell us its got to be there for various reasons and then my mystery will be solved! :D

Well, that's reassuring, I suppose...

I guess I'll find out how the black bit reflects light differently the first time I take it out at night....
