fuel pressure relief valve

Post by slim_adi »

just had some work done on the van - a 1989 german 2.1 multivan - and ive been advised that the wrong fuel pressure relief valve has been fitted

the attached pic shows...the spigot on the top is where the pipe that feeds fuel to the injectors attaches - and its currently held on by a jubilee clip. Ive been told it should have some sort of connector, and a bracket which securely attaches it to the two holes in the plate at either side.

Ive been to GSF and the VW commercial parts centre - GSF dont list anything and VW say the part is now obsolete

Can anyone advise where to buy form (and if possible a part number)

Cheers

Adi

It does look like a non standard pressure regulator, but if it is working, and maintaining the pressure at 30psi, then I would leave it alone.

its seems to be working fine (well - ut has done since i got the van at the start of may) but now ive been told about it its niggling a little bit

found this on JK http://shop.justkampers.com/product_inf ... s_id/11052 - is this what i'd need.......excuse the ignorance - having dumped regular motors onto my friendly local garage to work on, i'm still learning again
