Suddenly lost all coolant while returning from Glastonbury. {Many thanks to Paul for a speedy recovery to Luton} The problem was a 6mm perfectly round hole in lower part metal coolant pipe on right hand/drivers side of engine. This hole is close to the rubber tube that connects it to the upper part metal coolant pipe. The pipes have only surface rust and the hole has a small rivet raised from the pipe close to it. I can find nothing in the Haynes manual but is this a cunning 'safety' feature.
Any ideas on the correct fix other than just braising a patch over the hole. This part is not available from GSF/Just Campers and Heritage have on open order for them with no due date.
