What Engine do I have?

Hi there,

forgive the 'dumb' question but ... ...

I need to get a new fuel pump for my van - I've been asked what kind of engine I have - how do I find out?
I know that it is 1.9l petrol(1983 van) but apparently there are different types of 1.9 petrol - is there an easy way of telling the engine type?

There's an engine number stamped underneath the crankcase breather stack (round black plastic pipe rising from top of engine with a 1" pipe running to air filter). Get back to us with this number, should be able to tell from that.

The 1.9 pumps are the same. Just tell them it's a DG engine.
