recon engines 1900DG

Post by mfacer »

I am looking to replace the 1900 waterboxer dg in my camper. Anyone got any advice? I have found there are 3 ready built options, Verge or Remtec or The Engine shop. TES also do a 2000cc big bore with new heads for an extra £250 ish. Is it worth it? its for my Autohomes camper not a racing van !! Its drinking oil and lots of blue smoke the oil light and buzzer are on, with about 120,000 I think the quickest and most reliable will be an exchange engine.

Haver a look in the current threads, there is a lot of info on here...

I would NOT buy the "engine shed or remtec" engines.. and the "2L" option is BS..... if the components they are using are what I think they are (and there are only 2 options for them to be using) they prob wont produce the power that a std 1.9 will.....

Just my opinion though....
