Khyam Motordome Classic, the best in my opinion, easy to erect and take down, loads of room, I attach mine to the gutter with the pole and clamp setup, 8)

Ditto.

I found these people friendly to deal with. I bought mine pre season and saved £50. As you can see there out of stock with the classic at the moment. No harm in giving them a ring if you cannot find one else where.click here

Chris have a look on this site, it gives you more info.click. Suitable for RH/LH drives. No ground sheet supplied. The Pole and clamp i think is the best meathod for securing your awning.

I went for a breathable ground sheet, 4x3 metre from these people. If your interested in that sort of thing. A must on some sites.here.

We got a kyham motordome family from the campershop took a while to get as they appear to be like rocking horse pooh.
Used it a couple of times and sofar its been excellent you get shed loads of room as it has the extra sleeping area giving loads of living space.
Also even though it is big it fits on a standard pitch as it runs parralel with your van unlike a lot of the tunnel ones which go away from the van.
And best of all its a piece of Pi## to put up although havent tried to do that in high winds yet.
A high top and a Cosworth crew cab because i can, the driveway is full and the boss she is not happy

groundsheet

Post by tetleyman »

Got my motordome classic from Campershop as well, they were very quick. I ordered a proper Khyam grounsheet at the same time - did anyone else get one of these? It seems too big even allowing for it extending right to the van door..

Only used it once might be being dense!

Loved the awning overall though, genius design

oversize groundsheet?

Post by tetleyman »

..still haven't had time to check this, probably won't until I get to Glastonbury! - have small parking space in Brixton and no garden so not very easy to check! Didn't seem like the sheet was meant to go any further than edge of van tho.

Hercules is yours the right size for just the tent bit plus the tunnel bit where it attaches to van?

I wonder if mine is really intended for a bigger Khyam. Had the branded insert in tho saying Motordome Classic.
