OIL LIGHT BUZZ and SMOKE!!! (WATERCOOLED 2.1)
Hi, the oil light buzzed on the dash, so Ive topped up with oil and there is now smoke (not sure whether black or blue) chuffing from the exhaust, not all the time just when the engine is in higher revs or before changing gear. The camper has sat still for a few days, I've checked the oil dipstick and i'ts about an inch above the max!! Will this cause a smokey engine?? or could it be something more sinister. Cheers very much for any help...

The buzzer doesnt sound because the oil level is too low (or high) its pressure... or rather NO pressure....... the buzzer will sound above 2000rpm if the pressure is low..
Now this could be due to the pressure switch failing or because it really is low oil pressure... so a pressure check is required... you could replace the sender first to see if it was the sender.. but you MUST get the correct one... (cant remember what pressure it is but could be 1.2bar)
Driving with that much oil overfilled WILL cause problems... did you not check the level before putting more oil in?
WHat oil is in there? a 15w40 is the recomended oil, a thinner oil can give low pressure on a well used engine...
