how do i replace t25 side panels as rusted through

Post by acerimmer5 »

Hi and good evening - wonder if anyone can help
i need to replace nearside panel (the one behind the sliding door) and the offside middle panel (the one that usually has the holes cut out for the fridge exhaust) - i just wondered if it was cheaper to replace rather than derust - both these panels have windows in which are both rusted around the seams - i have been quoted over 300 pounds to have them repaired - i cannot find where i could replacements for these - i have looked on the justkampers site but the exploded view diagram which shows whats for sale does not include the panels as far as i can see - also how do i pop these side panels off and how to i replace - i love the van (t25 1.9 auto water cooled) and can do the little rust jobs but complete novice for the big stuff - however i want to do it myself if possible - thanks and regards - john - in wales :P

John in wales,,,,,,,, it sounds like you have a bit of task on your hands with what you are wanting to do with your van.

Personally I'd be giving these guys a shout regarding some of the parts you are in need of;;;;

As far as the fitting bit goes, it would take me a fortnight to explain how to change a side panel in written form,,,,,if you would like to send me a PM I could always go through it on the phone with you.

Regards

Fritz,,,,,,,,,,
One day you will find me,,
