Engine reassembly, cant get me flaps right!

Post by pouch »

Just putting the recon engine back together and am having a nightmare with the flaps for the oil cooler ducting etc.

I had to remove them to clean the alloy as it was baddly corroded, not I cant seem to get them to sit right?

I couldn't find it on the wikki, can anyone tell me how they should set / operate for re- fitting?

At the mo I am not even sure which way I should have the spring on the the arm to move them...

Pics would be a help.

Ok, sorted now, took some time to realise that if the thermostat fails it opens the flaps anyway, so I need to set then under tension for re-assembly.

Haynes... rubbish!

I cant even find what the fill quantity is for the gearbox
