Pop Top Roof Bars

Post by oliverchope »

I need to fit roof bars to my 81 Vanagon Westy to carry boards etc, but they need to be easily shifted to the front end when we want to pop the top. The bars designed for builders vans and tin tops will fit, but are a pain to move regularly - does anyone now of a better solution?

you can get brackets that bolt to the pop top which allow you to lift the roof without taking the bars off. when the roof is down the bracket rests on the roof gutter so the pop top doesn`t take all the weight.

Crikey, well done for remembering that! Thanks very much. I don't think I'll rely on the old Babel fish for this one!
