Hi all
Can anyone give answer to timing, my research (many T25 sites/forums)have found conflicting advice, some say no adjustment nessecery, set at 5%btdc, some say retard timing for unleaded fuel. Its a 1.9 DG watercooled petrol (2E3 carb) built 30-11-83 to 31-12-83 Haynes manual recomends 1 tank leaded to every 4 unleaded, for vehicles built before Jan 84. Is unleaded use OK without retarding timing or not. Is DG built with hardened valve seats? any advice or info on this would be great, Tanks in advace

Loads of bull
vac disconnected and time to 5 deg BTDC (in fact you can use 7.5 ish as the 5 deg is for 92UL not available here..)
The V on the side of the pulley nearest the engine should be the 5 deg mark.. line it up with the case..
No need for all that lead replacement lark.. these are good to go on UL...

Thanks for the reply's I was going down the route of good to go on UL, my T25 / T3 / Brick or whatever anyone wants to call it has only done 41K genuine miles and engine seems sound, now its being used will need to keep an eye on parts that will need replacing due to time worn deteriation, had to replace vac unit on dist so expect probs to crop up from time to time
Thanks Steve "T"
