Slider door workings question.

My slider scrapes the bodywork

I've had it to bits and it looks like the arm to the slider is folding to far in.

After breaking it into parts i think the cam on the sprung section is worn.

When the door is open should the arm be at 90 degrees to the van/door?

mine goes past 90 and nearly folds right over on its self...

Well...

I'm having a friend weld two blobs on so the worn arm sits at 90o again..

All done and bits back on!

What a difference! The slider isn't hitting the body any more and it even shuts 1st try!
