2.1 MV Idle Speed

Post by grenjs »

I've just completed a rebuild of our 1987 2.1 Litre MV.

The engine is now far quiter than it used to be, it starts at the merest touch of the key and is much better idling when the engine is cold.

However, when the engine has reached normal temparature, the idling speed is about 1100 rpm which is faster than it used to be.

What should the idle speed be? 800?

Also, where is the idle control screw (I would look in the manual, but I'm at work and can't see it from here!!).

880rpm plus or minus 50

idle is fat screw on throttle body, in combination with co screw in AFM
