£20 screwfix random orbital sander and 240 grit paper to cut it back should do! piccies of van ? mine was the nato green T25 kicking about Swansea if you ever saw it.

Or a selection of screwfix wet and dry sand paper, and elbow grease. It does not take that long, with a nice warm bucket of detergent water. Just do a panel at a time, don't think about the whole bus. Just doing mine with rustoleum, back to Escorial green, like the inside. Good thing about the nato paint is that the seams are mint underneath it all. The paint layers have flexed over any cracking.

Good luck.
