Second gear, synchros and things

Post by Aidan »

Just to let you all know that I've managed to get hold of some brand new second gears (standard ratio) and complete synchro units for 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th and for R/G as well as the genuine german synchro rings, and currently I have all parts including all the obsolete bearings, seals and circlips in stock.

3rd/4th synchros are the heavy duty type, later style but with additional lubrication routing.

I've sold out of decouplers but can offer a make up service if anyone wants to obtain a base kit from Bushmeide, though the short vacuum unit bracket is obsolete, some second hand ones are available.

The original VDO dashboard vacuum switch is in stock as are new tell tale switches.

Can anyone source 22x18x2 alloy washers anywhere ? I can only find x1.5mm ones from Wurth being the closest, and these may or may not work depending on the case corrosion ime.

I also have a pair of 108mm cro-mo output flanges as per the 16" box, though these require imperial bolts rather than the metrics, but are a quarter of the price of the VW 16" output flanges.
