Quick Eber question

Post by windysurfer »

Thinking of having a bid for this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=012

'THIS UNIT AS BEEN TESTED AND IS WORKING. ON THE TEST IT DID ON OCCASION SHOW A OVERHEAT ERROR SO MAY NEED SOME ATTENTION TO THE HEAT SENSOR'

What do you eber masters think?

Worth having a bid on and is this easy to fit or will I be buying a pain in the a***?

cheers

Thats the one you want if you have a diesel.
I would be wary of it though.
If the heat sensor is the only problem it should be pretty easy to fix but can you be sure thats all thats wrong with it and as its already at £100 I personally would pay an extra 50 and get one that does work properly.
just my pennies worth.
A soon as the sun comes out for real the prices will drop dramatically.

might just hang on then.

They all seem to go for around £200-£250. Never really seen any go cheaper.
Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.

I do have a diesel.

cheers

I saw that one too.

The thermal sensor is £50 - but theres a cheap way to check if its gone.

However, I'd take Robs advice on this one - wait till summer and get a working one.

TBH, i've never seen a cheaper one that £250 either - but for that price you need a working one!

you need to know how he knows its showing a overheat fault, because over heat can just be a incorrect air ducting or blockage, so was it fitted in a vehicle whatever when it faulted?
they will fault if you block the outlet, but they will also fault overheat if the exhaust is blocked or restricted, different fault code......

Think I'll hang on till summer, should we get one, unless a cheap working one crops up.

cheers
