I am converting my Aircooled 1983 t25 to diesel using an engine out of a Jetta 1.6 td. I have been collecting many parts including jx exhaust manifold, turbo, sump, airbox, engine mounts & rails etc.
Can anyone please tell me how all the water pipes connect around the engine eg from where to where point to point? water pump, oil cooler cyl head etc i can not find any pictures of this.
The aux electric water pump where does this go, on the car it is used for cooling of the turbo, it is not used for this on a t25 but i know it is used but for what??
Also i have a diesel bellhousing and i was trying it for size and the input shaft sleeve hits the flywheel, is the t25 flywheel different from the car td flywheel (SB engine code). Is the clutch the same for a t25 and a car 1.6td?
Anyone with any experience on this conversion or who can offer any advice, i would apprieciate it.
TD t25 conversion from Aircooled Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Auxilery pump is connected to the oil filter inlet/outlet but there is a moulded rubber hose specific for the 1.6td water coolent to connect up to the oil filter. You will need a 1.6n/td flywheel & 215mm clutch assembly + diesel bell housing and input shaft. A complete set of 1.6td engine coolent hoses would have the oil cooler flow&return water pipes. There is a temp switch screwed into the outlet to hose from the cylinder head that switches the auxillary pump on.
