Ok New van No heaters

Ok Just got the van 5 hour drive back Bloody freezing, 2 ltr air cooled whats the best place to start to try and get some heat,have checked the obvious that i can see there doesnt seem to be any holes in the heat exchangers or hoses to the front,is there fans on this type of heater? can anybody help....!! thanx John

are the pods opening ? about the exchanges ?

ok which are the pods are they the flaps found on the tinwear with a cable attached? :oops:

look under the rear wheel arches thats where you will find the pods cables come of sometimes but the pods rot too they are conected to the heat xc best thing to do fit an eber or simalar
if my vans a rocking dont worry fixing it again lol

ohh soz not right under the arches i ment look through them and the pods era towards the front of the rear arches just behind the chasise
if my vans a rocking dont worry fixing it again lol

If your heat exchangers are old their probably knackered,i changed ours about 3 years ago warm as toast in the cab even when sitting in traffic.........Nick.

the fan that pushes the air to the front is on the front of the alternator,,,, check the hoses from there to the back of the exchanchers. slide all 3 sliders in the cab right over to the right hand side then check on the pods at the front of the exchangers on top of the steel riser pipes that the levers are pulled fully forward at each side of the van. if not cable tie them both fully forward.
then take the grill off and tape up the fresh air intake behind it..
this set up should give you hot air up the windscreen. if you want some to your feet slide the top 2 sliders about 20mm left in the cab. this will give you half and half or it does in mine :wink:

GREAT IM WARM.........IS IT A HARD JOB REPLACEING THESE BROKEN CABLES?

MAYBE CUT THE STRIP TIES OFF IN THE SUMMER....!!!!
